I checked downloads of movies from the internet on my computer. However, I bought myself a new look 50-inch plasma screen to them. I bought an HD recorder from Sony has a USB port, when I thought I could just load a USB memory and add movies to your hard drive. This is not the case! The only for loading MP3s.
Has anyone from an HD recorder can know that levy the movies? I have sole custody of HDMI with 1080p.
Maybe I should get an Apple TV, but do not play all formats of film. Can anyone recommend something better than Apple TV?

It is a little ahead of the curve, but there are some devices in order to float. Engadget HD you can check if there is something that they have covered. With CES now goes there is no shortage of reporting on such things. This may sound silly, but the PS3 may be an option, you only need a handful of codecs.
I think it's a Media Center PC, or two there who do what you want.
In addition, the Apple TV only goes up to 720p, I think.
